Relationships are a Practice too

Marriage and partnership ask for the same things stillness and sound healing do: presence, honesty, and the willingness to keep showing up. Through Pivot & Flow, I bring research-based relationship tools alongside the nervous-system and energy work I'm known for — because a steady relationship and a steady body support each other.

Whether you're preparing to marry, working through a season of change, navigating new parenthood, or simply wanting more clarity in how you relate to others, there's a path here for you.

I used to think of relationship work and energy work as separate disciplines — one for the mind, one for the body. What I've learned, both personally and through the couples and individuals I work with, is that they're deeply connected. The way we regulate our nervous systems shapes the way we fight, repair, and stay close to the people we love. As the founder of Pivot & Flow (formerly Pivot Counselling), I draw on certified, research-backed frameworks — SYMBIS, the Gottman Method, and my own integrative approach — to help you build relationships that are honest, resilient, and genuinely well-understood.

How we can work together ~

01

SYMBIS Premarital Programme

For couples preparing for marriage.

Before the wedding comes the harder, better question: do you actually understand each other? SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) is one of the most widely used premarital programmes available, built on a personalised assessment that more than a million couples have taken. Each of you completes it individually — covering personality, communication style, conflict patterns, finances, family history, and expectations — and I use your results to shape sessions around where you actually are as a couple, not a generic curriculum.

As a certified SYMBIS facilitator, I help you name the friction points before they become old arguments, and build the vocabulary and tools to navigate them together.

The 7 Principles of Making Marriage Work

For couples wanting to strengthen an existing relationship.

Based on Dr. John Gottman's decades of research into what actually makes marriages last, this programme is for couples who are already partners — engaged, newly married, or years in — and want real skills, not just good intentions. We work through the seven principles at the heart of Gottman's research: building love maps, nurturing fondness and admiration, turning toward each other, managing conflict rather than eliminating it, and creating shared meaning.

This isn't couples therapy in the crisis sense. It's structured, evidence-based relationship education for two people who want to get better at loving each other on purpose.

03

Relationship Clarity Sessions

Individual work — for you, not your partner.

Not every relationship question needs two people in the room. These one-on-one sessions are for individuals working through relationship patterns, decisions, or seasons of doubt — whether that's understanding why the same dynamics keep repeating, deciding whether a relationship is right for you, healing after a breakup, or simply getting honest with yourself about what you actually want from partnership.

We draw on relationship research and the same nervous-system-informed approach that shapes my other work, so you leave each session with more clarity — not just more talking.

04

Bringing Baby Home

For couples expecting or newly navigating parenthood

Research from the Gottman Institute found that roughly two-thirds of couples experience a significant drop in relationship satisfaction after their first baby arrives. Bringing Baby Home is designed to change that statistic for you. As a certified Bringing Baby Home educator, I work with couples — pregnant or with a child under three — on the four skills that protect a relationship through this transition: staying friends, managing conflict as it shifts, supporting each other as parents, and creating shared meaning as a family.

This programme is offered privately and by request — reach out and we'll design a format that fits your timeline.

Free Guide: Conversations for the Journey Ahead

Some of the most important relationship work happens outside a session — in the questions you ask each other on an ordinary evening.

Conversations for the Journey Ahead is a free guide of questions designed to help you and your partner talk through what actually matters: the things that are easy to assume and easier to avoid. Download it, bring it to dinner, and see what you learn about each other.

Enjoy your conversations together!
